Wood Clad Steel Framed Gates
The natural look of wooden gates can be a beautiful addition to your home, but if you are on a budget, wood clad gates offer a very attractive and affordable alternative without compromising on quality. Our wood clad gates offer some of the versatility and strength of steel gates, whilst allowing more privacy. Many people prefer the look of wooden gates and ours can be made single or double panelled, which are not only aesthetically pleasing, but are strong and robust.
Wood clad gates are great for both manual and automation, without any warping, twisting or movement normally associated with low quality wooden gates. Out wood clad gates are made to the highest standards using heavy box section steel framework including the top curve/bows and middle rails. There are traditional and contemporary styles available, or please contact us to discuss a particular custom design you have in mind.
Our wooden gates are mainly madder from utile – an African hardwood which is naturally durable and stable, but other species are available, including European Oak and others. We always include 2-3 coats of good quality finish stain such as Sikkens or Sadolin to both sides of the gate panel in a choice of colours. It is also possible to apply an oil finish such as Danish or Teak oil, or if you require and aged look to your gates, we can provide this on request.
The steel gate frame can be fully galvanised and then powder coated to a colour of your choice, protecting the metal against corrosion for years to come.
Any of our wood clad gates can be made to swing either singly or as a pair – or, if you are restricted for opening space or require a higher level of security, they can also be made as sliding gates, either with a track or cantilever system. We can also manufacture single gates to appear as a pair, if this is the most suitable and preferred option
Automation is our specialty and there are different access control options available, form intercoms to card readers and keypad, allowing convenience and security for you and your personnel. The gates will usually be operated with a ‘single hit’ option, whereby the gate opens at the touch of a button on the remote control, and closes automatically behind you.
